We got to take the boys skating over the holidays, Reid thought skating was going to be VERY easy so he was a bit surprised that he could just get on the rink and play hockey with Daddy and uncle Matt but he did good, and practiced for over an hour,

For Christmas Eve we had Cheese "fondu" (our own bowls of cheese sauce, really do you think fire would be a good idea with my boys???)
I think all Dexter ate was sausage dipped in cheese but hey it's Christmas
After church we came home and the boys opened their gifts from us
For Reid: a more train stuff, a cat in the hat movie and a helicopter hoodie
For Dex: a baler (which Reid promtly adopted) a backpack and a harmonica or his "monika"

In someways Christmas was so relaxing this year, because we had done our trip out west in Novemeber, but we felt the need to really to join the spirit (stress) of the holidays so we painted 3/4 of the house in the weeks leading up to Chirstmas. We have now finished the painting but the house is a complete disaster because just as we finished we were hit with the mother of all head colds and so we still have drop clothes and paint brushes sitting around, but hopfully in the next few weeks we will finish all those details and get some pics up
