this week we are watching snow melt....(with glee!!)
glossary terms:
* air seeder* : this implement is pulled by a tractor, it plows the earth, it then uses air to carry the seed from the seed tank into the ground, then it covers the seed with soil and gently packs it.
*fertilizer cart*: this implement hooks onto the back of the air seeder, it places nutrients in the ground close to the seed, making for precise application, as well as saving time and fuel
our air seeder is new this year, the guys will spend hours getting it ready to be hooked up to the fertilizer cart. They also have spent/will spend a lot of time to adjust seed depths, spacing, and seed rates to get the best possible environment for the seed to germinate and grow.
